About Post 409

American Legion Post 409 in Allen Park, MI, was chartered by The American Legion National Headquarters on November 27, 1945, and was added to the Department of Michigan on December 18, 1945. There were 25 charter members of the post.

The post currently has over 200 members. Most are located in Allen Park, but some members live around Metro Detroit and across the U.S.

Post 409 sponsors Squadron 409 of the Sons of the American Legion and Unit 409 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
