The Post 409 club room will be closed. This is in accordance with the governor’s executive order as well as instruction from the American Legion Department of Michigan.
We will let you know when we can open back up again.
Welcome back to the Club Room! We will open up at 4pm on June 8, 2020.
We must follow Michigan Governor’s Executive Order 2020-97. These are the rules and how the Post 409 Bar Committee plans to abide by them:
- We need to limit the capacity of members in the clubroom to 50%
Which means only 22 patrons can be in the clubroom at a time - We to require patrons to stay 6 feet away from each other
Which means many chairs have been removed from the bar and many bar stools are taped off. CHAIRS ARE NOT TO BE MOVED AROUND - Communications materials are to be provided
Which means Patrons will be provided flyers listing the changes that have made and the rules needed to be followed - Waiting areas are to be closed
Which means Patrons are to wait outside if capacity of 22 members is met in clubroom - Close self serve or drink options such as buffets
Which means no outside food and drinks are allowed into the clubroom - Provide physical guides such as tape on tables and floors so that customers remain more than 6 feet apart
Which means many chairs have been removed from the bar and many bar stools are taped off. CHAIRS ARE NOT TO BE MOVED AROUND - Post signs at entrance informing patron not to enter if they have recently been sick
Which means your temperature will be taken before you can sit in the clubroom - Post signs instructing customers to wear face coverings until they get to their table
Which means ALL Patrons must have a face covering on before
they are allowed into Clubroom - Require host and servers to wear face covering
Which means are bartenders will have face masks on all the time they are working - Require employees to wear face coverings and gloves when handling food
This does not apply since no food will be served - Limit shared items for customers and clean high contact areas
Which means no condiments will be in packaged containers (such as sugar). Tables and counter tops will be cleaned after each patron leaves - Train employees on appropriate use of protective coverings and safety health protocols and how to manage symptomatic customers
Which means areas will be cleaned between customers - Notify employees if employer learns a customer has a confirmed case
- of COVID
- Close immediately if an employee shows symptoms of COVID
Which means if this happens the clubroom will have to undergo a deep cleaning - Install physical barriers where maintaining physical distance of 6 feet is difficult
Which means since we have not put in partitions – patrons please do not lean over bar and try to maintain distance between you and server - Limit number of employees in shared area
Which means if we have two bar servers they are to maintain 6 foot distance between them
