On Sunday, May 27, 2018, members of American Legion Post 409 along with several local, state and federal government representatives participated in the annual Memorial Day observation at the Veterans Memorial in Champaign Park in Allen Park. About 60 people attended the ceremony, with many of them joining in a post-ceremony visit to the Post 409 Club Room.
Among those in attendance were U.S. House Representative Debbie Dingell, Michigan State Representative Frank Liberati and Allen Park Mayor William Matakas.
Post Commander, David Babbage, expressed his thanks on behalf of the posts’ members to all who attended.
