The American Legion Department of Michigan Reconnect Committee supports military families through the entire deployment cycle. Once the service member returns home, assistance is needed more than ever.
Reconnect programs include

Yellow Ribbon Workshop support, VA Claims Assistance, employment, education, general quality of life - Temporary Financial Assistance
Help to prevent utility shut off, eviction protection, medical expenses, etc. - Wounded and Returning Warrior Program
Family retreats, group PTSD retreats, community awareness presentations, adaptive sports and home modifications - Patriot Endowment Fund
Provides emergency financial assistance to Veterans and Military Families of all eras when they do not qualify for any other assistance options - Elmobility Room
A mobile Sesame Workshop Play Room to support military families during unit events and meetings
